Rising In GT Racing: My 2025 Journey Thus Far
Laguna Seca Post-Race Podium Ceremony
2025 has been a breakthrough year. The consistent results, with all but one race finishing in the top 5 and earning two podiums, tell part of the story. What really stands out is the pace of growth, the learning, and everything happening off track that’s allowed me to not only compete at the front, but also set my sights on a bright future.
Sebring: Thrown Into the Deep End
Sebring was a brutal place to start, rough, technical, and unforgiving, but I wouldn’t have had it any other way. With a solid day of preseason testing, we came away with two top 5 finishes and I posted the third-fastest lap of the weekend. For my first real race in a GT car, that result gave me the confidence I needed. I knew we had the speed; we just had to keep building.
Laguna Seca: Making It Count
Laguna was a wild weekend. Between red flags and a fuel pressure issue, I only got four laps of practice before qualifying. But we made it work, top 5 in Race 1, P3 in Race 2. I’ve always prided myself on adapting quickly and delivering under pressure, and this was a perfect example of that. We didn’t overthink it, we just maximized what we had.
Watkins Glen: Staying Sharp
Watkins Glen brought another podium and another top 5, but it was a tough one with lots of yellows and disrupted race flow. I focused on doing my job, taking care of the equipment, staying clean, and putting the team and my teammate Enzo in a position to score solid points. That’s what this type of racing is about.
Nürburgring: The Road To Endurance Racing
In June, I was fortunate enough to fly to Germany to earn my DMSB B-license to compete in the Nürburgring Endurance Championship. It was a dream come true for me as the Nordschleife has been my #1 bucket list circuit to race on. I competed in a 4-hour NLS Lites race with Walkenhorst Racing in a Hyundai I30N TCR, which was both very challenging and exciting to drive. We ended up winning in our respective class, and now I am one step closer to earning my A-License, which will let me compete in the top class (GT3) at the most difficult circuit on earth.
Road America: Strength Under Pressure
Road America was a challenging weekend where our pace did not reflect our results. A P6 in race 1 and P4 in race 2 was frustrating, knowing more points with P2 or even a fight for the Win was in the cards. Motorsport is unrelenting when you’re faced with situations that can easily break your concentration; however, me and my teammate Enzo stayed disciplined, showing that we were among the fastest and most consistent drivers on track.
Adapting the Open-Wheel Mindset
One of the things I’ve carried with me from open-wheel is the ability to get up to speed fast, usually within two or three laps, regardless of the track and give clear, technical feedback on what the car’s doing and what it needs. That’s been huge this season. Working with the engineers to get the most out of the car has been progressing massively this year, and it’s been rewarding to contribute to that side of the program.
7 Hours in the Car, Hundreds Behind the Scenes
On paper, I’ve got a little more than seven hours total in the GT car so far, which includes preseason testing, practice, qualifying, and races. But that number doesn’t tell the whole story. The real work happens behind the scenes: hours in the sim, reviewing data and video, physical training, mental prep. That’s where the foundation gets built. Every lap matters. Every detail adds up.
Right Place, Right Series
I’m grateful I chose Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America as my introduction to GT racing. The car is demanding. The competition is tight. And if you can be fast here, it translates everywhere. To be racing at the front of this field, so early on, is something I don’t take lightly. It shows what’s possible when skill, preparation, and opportunity come together. Racing in a Lamborghini is an honor, and I carry that with pride every time I get in the car. I honestly believe it has a soul! It's pure, raw and a rocketship. I now understand the passion of those who drive, build and represent the brand.
Enjoying the Journey
This season’s also been about building relationships, with my team at ANSA Motorsports, the Squadra Corse crew, IMSA teams, and of course, the fans. I love racing in the U.S. again. After years in Europe, it’s been great to compete in front of home crowds and reconnect with a lot of people who’ve supported me from the beginning.
Next Up: Indianapolis and Lamborghini World Finals
With the season winding down to a close, with only 2 more rounds remaining. The iconic IMS (Indianapolis Motor Speedway) and Misano World Circuit in Italy are two completely different circuits, providing their own unique style of technicality. Misano is also the circuit where the Lamborghini Young Drivers Program shootout will take place, a program of which I have had the honor of being selected into and the opportunity to represent the Lamborghini brand at a much higher, professional level. I’m fully prepared to leave everything on the track, as I do every time I race.
We’re just getting started. More to come…
